A short story of a seeking mind exploring the world/word of PEACE
Style of writing - story with a touch of poetry here and there
What is PEACE of Mind!

In the midst of this widely spread pandemic that has enveloped the world in its horrifying embrace, I
sought out to perceive the significance of the peace of mind.

I saw how everyone around me is in search of some kind of inner peace. While some are lucky enough to find it, others spend most of their lives just in search of it, but sadly, they never completely grasp the
definition of what inner peace is and thus, they fail to attain the peace of mind.

I found that every single person and religion has their own personalized form of peace

Peace is like a religion in superhuman form, who or which is believed by people following all kinds of
faiths. All religions are looking for this simple notion in their sacrifices, Beliefs and practices that is to
achieve the uttermost peace in life.

Some look for peace in the faces of their masters, gurus, or the gods
While some seek to find it in their shrine, the chapel, or the holy mosque
Others say it’s present in their discipline and practices
While others cherish it in the form of exercise and meditation
Some gain it in the form of their writing or poetry
Music for others is peace for their souls
Family and kids give peace to some
While most feel alive when left alone with their thoughts
Travelling gives tranquility to the adventure lovers
Home, and familiarity is the key for others

But then it strikes our mind “why?” Why is every single person in search of this single notion? What do
they need peace from, why do they need it?

Looking around at the wrinkled old faces,
The withered brows
The deepened lines on the foreheads
Curved by stress,
The heavy eyes shadowed with black
Full of regrets
That hint of a smile gone as soon as it came
Sorrowed with neglect
The deep sounds of breath, shaky, and unsteady,
Heavy with grief
I figured that the people needed,
Peace from this unruly, terrifying world,
Peace from the wars between the hearts and minds
Peace from the intimidating aura of the realities of life
Peace from the constant changes, the never ending lies
Peace from the ever present fear of losing the dear ones
Peace from the depressions of failing your loved ones.
Peace from the depression the stress and the tension
Peace from the struggles, responsibilities and oppression

I hope that each soul attains their peace
In whatever form or way that they please
